This leap is achieved by switching from Transition Minimized Differential Signaling (TMDS) to Fixed Rate Link (FRL) technology. FRL changes the compression and packaging of data packet delivery, facilitating uncompressed 8K video at 60Hz and 4K video at 120Hz, with support up to 10K resolution.
